This centrally located ryokan in Shima Onsen is a hidden gem. The spacious and warm rooms provide a cozy atmosphere. The hospitable staff, including the mother and daughter hosts, are attentive and welcoming. The deliciously arranged meals, both dinner, and breakfast, offer a delightful culinary experience. The onsen, just a short walk away, is a perfect way to unwind and relax.
No complaints.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were extremely clean & spacious. The breakfast was delicious & the hotel facilities were top-notch. This city is a perfect location for a quiet getaway!

We stayed at a traditional Japanese ryokan in the countryside. The location was quiet and quaint, perfect for relaxing. The staff were friendly and tried their best to communicate despite the language barrier. The traditional Japanese breakfast was visually stunning, however, it was not suitable for vegetarians.
The beds were very uncomfortable and thin, making for an uncomfortable sleep.

The village is located in a breathtaking setting and offers a fascinating insight into Japanese culture. The staff were attentive, even lending us a humidifier when one of our group had a cough. The traditional Japanese breakfast was a highlight and not to be missed.
That the hotel was slightly remote and required a bus ride to reach it. However, the bus connections were good and there was a connection from the train station.

The location is amazing and allows for a great introduction to Japanese culture. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, willing to go above and beyond to make the stay exceptional. The food is absolutely delicious and it's clear that a lot of care and attention goes into everything they prepare.
Getting there can be a bit of a pain with a long bus ride, but it's worth it for the beautiful setting.
